Our Story:
Our founder has extensive senior executive experience and deep knowledge of the financial system and wants to give back by helping average Canadians learn how they can Retire Wealthier.
Before founding Retire Wealthier, as an EVP, he oversaw the Retail Banking segment at one of Canada’s major banks. He later helped to build Canada’s #1-ranked and fastest growing low-fee, digital online brokerage into one of Canada’s most admired financial service brands.
During this time, he realized how everyday people were losing significant portions of their wealth unnecessarily to high fees for no reason other than a lack of financial education.
He founded Retire Wealthier with a like-minded partner, because they saw how these high fees were having a huge, detrimental economic and social effect on average Canadians. They are now committed to giving back by helping educate average Canadians on how they can avoid unneeded fees and ensure they keep much more of their savings, investments and returns for themselves, their families and their retirement.
By sharing education about the principles of saving and more efficient ways to invest, we want to give Canadians the powerful knowledge and personal confidence to benefit from the low-cost, self-directed investing products and services that digital technology has enabled.
While the last generation of Canadians had to go to the bank and/ or a financial broker or advisor to invest through high-fee products or services, today investors can invest in a far more direct and lower-cost manner.
